Authentic South Indian Delight! Amma Kitchen truly delivers an authentic South Indian experience! We tried the Medu Vada, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Vindaloo, and Madras Filter Coffee—everything was absolutely on point. The flavors were rich, the food was fresh, and the quality was excellent. The Medu Vada was crispy on the outside and soft inside, the Chilli Chicken had the perfect balance of spice and flavor, and the Chicken Vindaloo was deliciously bold. The Madras Filter Coffee was the perfect way to end the meal. Looking forward to visiting again to explore more from their menu! Highly recommend!

I got the meat version of the South Indian Meal and it was amazing! So good to try different things, even if you're by yourself. Nothing was too spicy or too mild, but there were a mix of spice levels and different kinds of flavors that I enjoyed. It came with a little rice pudding too which was perfect.

It was nothing less than amazing. The host Mythiri helped us get the most authentic dining experience in the US until now. The gratitude of 20% was an unexpected thing. Anything other than that, not a word you'll ever find to complain. The mutton biryani best that any place can give in US.

We always have amazing experiences at Amma’s South Indian Cuisine! We have been to Philly six times this year and have been to Amma’s around 15 times. Every time we come to Philly, we get our dinner and pack our breakfast for the next day from there. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the masala dosa and kothu paratha, which were perfectly cooked and packed with authentic South Indian flavors. We love their masala chai and gajar ka halwa as well. The staff here are exceptional—so helpful, courteous, and welcoming. Special thanks to Pal bhai, Sahil bhai, Krishna bhai, and Shirin apu for their attentive and friendly service. They truly go above and beyond to make the dining experience memorable. These people over here make you feel like you’re at home. The experience is unparalleled to any other Indian places I have been to. I highly recommend Amma’s South Indian Cuisine to anyone looking for a taste of authentic South Indian food with fantastic service. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Philly.

This standout Indian restaurant has mastered a combination of an authentic Indian restaurant and fine dining expectations, creating an experience you remember. The menu here is extensive! Amma's elevates plant-based Indian cuisine and can be very accommodating. The drink menu is equally impressive.

Another delicious meal....we had the whole fish (well seasoned, marinated and grilled) , daal (kinda bland, masala dosage (tasty, but the inside only had a small ice cream scoop of food inside a big (tasty) shell), tamarind fish, butter chicken, shrimp vindaloo and curry fish. The papadum was also excellent. Each dish was 18-20 and came with rice. This is our second time here and didn't disappoint. The chai tea was also a hit. Service was attentive. We will be back again.
